Aequador

Columbia, France · 2012 · 19 minutes · NR

An alternative history built as a travel account without words: an equatorial dystopia evoking the excesses of a progressist and modernist dream in Latin America during the twentieth century. We imagined a bygone era where an extremist ideology would tried to conquer the Amazon territory. The film describes in a composite and voluntarily fragmented way this parallel present, where fake ruins and relics of Utopian architecture in 3D coexists with vernacular constructions and daily lives of human beings
